If it’s an IFC file, then yes, as a service. If it’s only a DWG or DXF, maybe only blueprints, then still something could be reused. Is it worth it? Not really. See why…
Existing IFC models can be imported (see the FAQ of Can’t you just import data from my BIM model?) with some processing and also if there are existing blueprints of the building, then they can also be used in OrthoGraph as a scaled background to draw on. What we experience is that the best result comes out of a fresh survey, that you only need to do for the last time. The regular maintenance crew can keep it updated so there is no need to survey the building anymore in its total.
We recommend keeping all your existing building documentations stored in your document management system in addition to surveying OrthoGraph models. These documentations can be attached to OrthoGraph elements. Links to user’s or repair manuals, videos, PDFs can easily be attached to any elements of the Operational BIM thus providing direct access to them even on-site. This will not just increase the quality of work, but also reduce repair times.
