Faster than you would think. Days, maximum weeks even for a large building.

Days, maybe some weeks depending on how difficult and how large the building is. Typically the key factor of slowing down an OrthoGraph survey is the access availability to locations. Once the survey has started (and not finished), at the end of each day the fresh data becomes available for analysis, export, viewing and sharing. OrthoGraph doesn’t need post processing.

Typical surveying speed for an average office building is about 1000-2000m² / day / surveyor, and there can be as many surveyors involved into the project, as it is required.

Inventorying the objects, equipment can be done by dedicated users who might have sufficient knowledge for the given profession that the objects are belonging to. In this case the speed is 500-700pcs / day / surveyor depending on the accessibility of assets and the amount and availability of data to be stored about them. We highly recommend only storing the least necessary information about objects, as “too much” unused data will increase the time of data recording and data-maintenance also on long-term without value generation.

To benefit the most from Operational BIM, we recommend integrating it to other systems, such as CAFM, CMMS, BMS, ERP and anything that needs building data. The use of Operational BIM also defines what kind of data and with what details should be captured during the as-built BIM modeling, reality capture process. During the use of the system anytime new data groups, asset types can be involved into the Operational BIM.

The integration of Operational BIM with third-party systems might take some time (maybe weeks), but due to having an open API of OrthoGraph typically results in time consumption not on the OrthoGraph part in such projects.
